Description

This market refers to the LoL match between Esprit Shōnen and Solary in the LFL Regular Season, initially scheduled for April 15 at 1:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Esprit Shōnen" if Esprit Shōnen win the match against Solary. This market will resolve to "Solary" if Solary win the match against Esprit Shōnen. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Kalshi's resolution rules for the match winner are logically contradictory and unresolvable. Kalshi states the market resolves YES if either Solary wins OR Esprit Shōnen wins, which means the market resolves YES for all possible outcomes. Polymarket correctly specifies that the market resolves to the name of the winning team (Esprit Shōnen or Solary), creating a binary outcome structure. Additionally, Kalshi provides no resolution rules for the four in-game markets (Baron, Dragon, Inhibitors, Quadra/Penta Kills), while Polymarket provides complete and detailed resolution criteria for all Game 1 in-game markets.

Hero Tip:

Do not trade the match winner market on Kalshi — it is fundamentally unresolvable due to contradictory logic that resolves YES regardless of outcome. Trade only on Polymarket for the match winner, which has clear binary resolution (Esprit Shōnen or Solary). For all in-game markets (Baron, Dragon, Inhibitors, Quadra/Penta Kills, Odd/Even Kills), trade only on Polymarket, as Kalshi provides no resolution rules whatsoever for these markets.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi's match winner market contains a logical contradiction. The rules state 'If Solary wins... then the market resolves to Yes' AND 'If Esprit Shōnen wins... then the market resolves to Yes,' meaning the market resolves YES for all possible match outcomes, rendering it unresolvable. Additionally, Kalshi provides zero resolution rules for the four in-game markets (Baron, Dragon, Inhibitors, Quadra/Penta Kills), leaving these markets without any settlement criteria.
  • Polymarket: Aligned with standard prediction market logic: Polymarket specifies that the match winner market resolves to 'Esprit Shōnen' if Esprit Shōnen wins and 'Solary' if Solary wins, creating a proper binary outcome. Polymarket also provides comprehensive, detailed resolution rules for all six in-game markets, including specific criteria for Baron/Dragon/Inhibitor destruction, Quadra/Penta Kills, and Odd/Even total kills, with clear edge cases for cancellation, forfeiture, surrender, and remakes.
