PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Match outcome resolution diverges on forfeit/disqualification handling and resolution scope. Polymarket uses 50-50 for pre-match forfeits; Limitless resolves to declared winner; Kalshi's binary YES/NO structure is ambiguous on this scenario. Additionally, Limitless imposes a hard deadline (July 30, 2026 23:59 UTC) with OTHER resolution if no official result, while Polymarket and Kalshi reference 7-day delays without explicit hard cutoff.Hero tip: Before settlement, confirm with each platform whether a pre-match forfeit resolves to 50-50 (Polymarket), declared winner (Limitless), or YES/NO (Kalshi). Limitless traders should note the July 30 hard deadline; if no official result by then, market resolves OTHER. For in-game markets (Quadra Kill, Odd/Even Kills, Baron, Inhibitors, Dragon, Penta Kill), all platforms consistently resolve to 50-50 if Game 1 is not played or canceled; use gol.gg as primary source with 2-hour grace period for credible reporting.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Match outcome resolves to 50-50 if match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or ends in forfeit/disqualification/walkover before start. If match begins and one team wins via opponent forfeit/disqualification, resolves to winning team. Primary source: gol.gg with 2-hour grace period for credible reporting.
  • Kalshi: Binary YES resolution if either team wins the match. No explicit handling of forfeit/disqualification/walkover scenarios or 50-50 outcomes. Structure implies YES resolves if any winner is declared, but does not clarify pre-match forfeit behavior.
  • Limitless: Resolves YES if named team wins; explicitly resolves to declared winner if either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (no 50-50). Hard deadline: if no official result by July 30, 2026 23:59 UTC, resolves to OTHER. Primary source: official match result.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the LoL match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Unicorns Of Love Sexy Edition in the Prime League 1st Division Regular Season, initially scheduled for June 30 at 12:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Eintracht Frankfurt" if Eintracht Frankfurt win the match against Unicorns Of Love Sexy Edition. This market will resolve to "Unicorns Of Love Sexy Edition" if Unicorns Of Love Sexy Edition win the match against Eintracht Frankfurt. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like those tracked here operate on peer-to-peer pricing rather than traditional sportsbook margins. Traders directly set odds by buying and selling shares, which often reflects sharper, less-biased estimates than fixed sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks build in juice and manage liability; prediction markets reward accuracy. For esports events like this one, prediction market prices can move faster as new scrim results, patch notes, or player news breaks, making them useful for comparing against your own research or locked-in sportsbook odds.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and risk appetites. Kalshi and Polymarket may settle outcomes using different verification timelines or data sources, creating arbitrage windows. Trading volume, fee structures, and UI design also influence where informed traders congregate. Price gaps typically narrow as resolution approaches, but during the early and mid-lifecycle of this market, divergence can persist—especially if one platform sees a surge in esports-focused activity or if regulatory or technical factors slow order flow on one venue.

Key catalysts include roster announcements, player injuries, or last-minute roster swaps that shift perceived team strength. Patch updates to League of Legends can dramatically alter meta viability and champion picks, reshaping win probabilities. Scrim results or recent tournament performance by either squad will influence trader conviction. Media coverage, expert predictions, and social sentiment around the teams also drive volume and price movement. As match day nears, late-breaking news—such as a player's illness or technical issues—can trigger sharp repricing in the final hours before play begins.
