Description

This market refers to the LoL match between DN SOOPers Challengers and T1 Academy in the LCK Challengers League Rounds 1-2, initially scheduled for April 14 at 4:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "DN SOOPers Challengers" if DN SOOPers Challengers win the match against T1 Academy. This market will resolve to "T1 Academy" if T1 Academy win the match against DN SOOPers Challengers. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Kalshi and Polymarket use fundamentally different market structures and resolution scopes. Kalshi focuses on a single binary outcome (whether over 2.5 maps are played), while Polymarket offers multiple distinct markets (match winner, games total, handicap, individual game winners, and in-game events). The platforms diverge on what constitutes a 'completed match' and how forfeits/walkovers affect resolution.

Hero Tip:

If you trade on Kalshi, you are betting solely on match length (3+ games). If you trade on Polymarket, you have granular exposure to match outcome, game count, handicap, specific game winners, and in-game mechanics (Baron, Dragon, Inhibitor, Penta/Quadra kills). Kalshi's market resolves YES only if 3+ maps are played; Polymarket's Games Total market uses the same threshold but applies different forfeit/walkover rules. On Polymarket, a match that begins but does not complete due to forfeit/disqualification resolves 50-50 for Games Total, whereas Kalshi's rules do not explicitly address this scenario. Additionally, Polymarket's individual game markets (Game 1/2/3 winners, in-game events) have no Kalshi equivalent and will resolve 50-50 if those games are not played, creating asymmetric exposure.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Distinct stance: Kalshi offers a single binary market on match length only. The market resolves YES if over 2.5 maps (i.e., 3 or more games) are played in the T1 Academy vs DN SOOPers Challengers BO3 match. The market does not specify handling of forfeits, walkovers, or incomplete matches. Resolution source is not explicitly stated. Key quote: 'If over 2.5 maps are played in the LCK Challengers League 2026: T1 Academy vs. DN SOOPers Challengers League of Legends match originally scheduled for Apr 14, 2026 at 4:00 AM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes.'
  • Polymarket: Distinct stance: Polymarket offers six separate markets covering match outcome (winner), games total (O/U 2.5), handicap (-1.5 for T1 Academy), individual game winners (Games 1, 2, 3), and in-game events (Baron/Dragon/Inhibitor slays, Penta/Quadra kills, total kills parity). All markets use gol.gg as the primary resolution source with a 2-hour fallback to credible reporting. For Games Total, Polymarket specifies that if the match begins but is not completed and one team wins via forfeit/disqualification/walkover, the market resolves 50-50 (not based on games played). Individual game markets resolve 50-50 if the game is not played due to series clinch, forfeit, or cancellation. Key quote: 'Games won by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default are counted towards the total, provided that the match is completed. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's match forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to 50-50.'
