PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Kalshi and Polymarket use fundamentally incompatible resolution scopes. Kalshi resolves based solely on Map 2 outcome (binary: either team wins Map 2 = YES), while Polymarket resolves based on the entire BO3 series winner. These are logically incompatible: Kalshi can resolve YES regardless of series outcome, while Polymarket requires a series victor.

Hero Tip:

If you trade on Kalshi, you are betting on Map 2 only—the series result is irrelevant. On Polymarket, you are betting on the overall BO3 winner. A team can win Map 2 (Kalshi YES) but lose the series (Polymarket NO for that team). Do not assume these markets move together.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi resolves YES if either Dplus KIA Challengers OR DN SOOPers Challengers wins Map 2 specifically. The resolution rule states 'If Dplus KIA Challengers wins map 2... then the market resolves to Yes. If DN SOOPers Challengers wins map 2... then the market resolves to Yes.' This means the market always resolves YES regardless of series outcome, as long as Map 2 is played. Series result is irrelevant.
  • Polymarket: Aligned with standard BO3 logic: Polymarket resolves to the team that wins the overall BO3 series. The description states 'This market will resolve to DN SOOPers Challengers if DN SOOPers Challengers win the match' and 'This market will resolve to Dplus KIA Challengers if Dplus KIA Challengers win the match.' Only one team can win the series; the market outcome depends on series victory, not individual map results.
