Description

This market refers to the LoL match between Dignitas and LYON in the LCS Regular Season, initially scheduled for April 11 at 7:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Dignitas" if Dignitas win the match against LYON. This market will resolve to "LYON" if LYON win the match against Dignitas. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Issue:

Kalshi and Polymarket resolve on fundamentally different events. Kalshi resolves on whether either team wins map 1 (a binary outcome that is always true), while Polymarket resolves on specific in-game objectives (Baron, Dragons, Inhibitors, Kills, Quadra/Penta Kills) that may never occur. These are entirely separate markets with no logical connection.

Hero Tip:

Do not treat these as the same market. Kalshi's map 1 winner market will always resolve YES (one team must win map 1). Polymarket's objective markets depend on actual gameplay and may resolve 50-50 if Game 1 is not played. Bet accordingly on each platform independently.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi offers only two markets, both on map 1 outcome. Market 1 resolves YES if LYON wins map 1; Market 2 resolves YES if Dignitas wins map 1. Exactly one will resolve YES. Logic: 'If LYON wins map 1 in the LCS 2026: LYON vs. Dignitas League of Legends match originally scheduled for Apr 11, 2026 at 7:00 PM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes.' This is a simple binary winner-take-all structure with no objective conditions.
  • Polymarket: Outlier: Polymarket offers 40 distinct markets covering series outcome, individual game winners, game-specific objectives (Baron, Dragons, Inhibitors), kill counts, multi-kill events, and handicaps. Each market has independent resolution criteria tied to specific in-game events or statistics. Logic: 'This market will resolve to Yes if both Dignitas and LYON each slay Baron Nashor at least once during Game 1' (and similar conditions for other objectives). If Game 1 is not played, most markets resolve 50-50. Source: https://gol.gg/esports/home.
