This prediction market group covers the League of Legends match between Cupid Esports and Winthrop University in the North American Challengers League Playoffs. Markets range from overall match winner to individual game winners, and in-game events like Baron Nashor kills and inhibitor destructions. There are also markets on the total number of games played.
This market refers to the LoL Upper bracket final match between Cupid Esports and Winthrop University in the North American Challengers League Playoffs, initially scheduled for September 9, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Cupid Esports" if Cupid Esports win the match against Winthrop University. This market will resolve to "Winthrop University" if Winthrop University win the match against Cupid Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before September 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 9, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
The event evaluates two separate thresholds for the total number of maps played in the Winthrop University versus Cupid Esports League of Legends match scheduled for September 4, 2026. The first threshold resolves to Yes if more than 3.5 maps are played, indicating at least four full maps occur. The second, more stringent threshold resolves to Yes only if more than 4.5 maps are played, requiring at least five maps. Both markets are independent, each with its own resolution criteria based on the actual map count from the match. Kalshi explicitly states it holds no official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.

Prediction market odds, as seen on Polymarket and Kalshi, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the mechanisms by which they are determined. Sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market relies on the collective intelligence of traders. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from expert opinion. Furthermore, prediction markets often have lower transaction costs and allow for more flexible betting strategies. The current volume on this market is $91,833, indicating active trading and price discovery.
Several signals could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Unexpected news regarding player health, team roster changes, or strategic shifts announced by either Cupid Esports or Winthrop University could all impact perceptions of their chances. In-game performance during the series itself, such as dominant early wins or surprising comebacks, will likely cause significant price movements. Furthermore, any major upsets in other matches within the LoL North American Challengers League playoffs could indirectly affect confidence in either team’s overall strength, influencing volume and price.
