Description

This market refers to the LoL Upper bracket semifinal 2 match between Cloud9 and Sentinels in the Esports World Cup North America Qualifier Playoffs, initially scheduled for April 21 at 5:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Cloud9" if Cloud9 win the match against Sentinels. This market will resolve to "Sentinels" if Sentinels win the match against Cloud9. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official match outcome from gol.gg, with identical treatment of forfeits, walkovers, cancellations, and delays beyond 7 days as 50-50 or no resolution.

Primary resolution logic:

Official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home; if unavailable within 2 hours post-event, credible reporting consensus including video evidence.

Core resolution logic:

  • The series winner (Cloud9 or Sentinels) is determined by the first team to win 2 games in the best-of-3 match.
  • Each individual game winner is determined by the team that wins that specific game.
  • Game-specific statistics (kills, objectives, multi-kills) are recorded from the official match data and resolve based on whether the stated condition was met during that game.
  • If a game is not played due to series clinch, forfeit, disqualification, or walkover, that game-specific market resolves 50-50.
  • If the entire match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days without completion, or ends in a tie, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • If a game begins but is not completed (except via surrender with partial data), that game-specific market resolves 50-50.
  • If a game is remade, resolution is based on the remade game only.
  • Forfeits, disqualifications, and walkovers that occur after a game begins count toward the series result if the match is completed.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon official publication of match results by gol.gg within 2 hours of event conclusion; if delayed, credible reporting consensus is used. Game-specific markets resolve based on the completion status of each individual game.
