This market refers to the LoL Upper bracket quarterfinal 1 match between Bilibili Gaming and T1 in the Mid-Season Invitational Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 4 at 4:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Bilibili Gaming" if Bilibili Gaming win the match against T1. This market will resolve to "T1" if T1 win the match against Bilibili Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader belief and real-money commitments. Prediction markets can sometimes price outcomes more efficiently when traders possess specialized knowledge or react faster to breaking news. However, sportsbooks benefit from professional oddsmakers and sharp bettors, so neither venue consistently outpredicts the other. Comparing both sources provides a fuller picture of consensus expectations.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on order flow and trader positions. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Contracts representing each possible outcome trade continuously, and the current price of each reflects the collective probability estimate of all active participants. As traders buy or sell contracts, the pricing curve shifts, allowing new entrants to discover fair value. The top outcome currently reflects strong conviction among the trading community, though prices remain fluid until the match concludes.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the series concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official tournament results and match records from the Mid-Season Invitational. Until that point, traders can adjust positions as new information surfaces, including team roster updates, scrim results, or strategic shifts. Resolution is automatic once the event is finalized and reported by authoritative esports sources.
Key catalysts include player injury announcements, roster changes, or unexpected roster substitutions that alter team composition. Scrim results and practice footage circulating in the esports community can shift trader confidence in either team's preparation. Recent tournament performances by both squads, meta shifts in the game patch, and head-to-head historical records all influence positioning. Media narratives around momentum, coaching adjustments, and player form leading into the match day will likely trigger repricing as the event approaches.
