This market refers to the LoL Upper bracket semifinal 1 match between Bilibili Gaming and Movistar KOI in the Esports World Cup Group C, initially scheduled for July 15 at 6:10AM ET. This market will resolve to "Bilibili Gaming" if Bilibili Gaming win the match against Movistar KOI. This market will resolve to "Movistar KOI" if Movistar KOI win the match against Bilibili Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes differently. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and risk management, then adjust them to balance action on both sides. Prediction markets, by contrast, derive prices from continuous trading by thousands of independent participants, creating a crowdsourced probability estimate. This market has attracted $187,728 in 24-hour volume, reflecting active price discovery. Prediction market odds often incorporate information faster than sportsbooks because traders profit immediately from accurate forecasts. However, sportsbook odds may reflect sharper professional analysis, so comparing both sources provides a fuller picture of expected outcomes.
Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform operates with distinct user bases, fee structures, and liquidity pools, which can lead to temporary price gaps. Polymarket and Limitless may attract traders with different risk appetites, information access, or time horizons, causing one venue to price outcomes higher or lower than the other. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these spreads, but friction costs—withdrawal delays, platform fees, or slippage on large trades—can prevent prices from converging instantly. Market depth also varies; shallower liquidity on one platform may amplify price swings relative to the other. Monitoring both venues helps traders identify mispricings and understand where consensus is strongest.
Several catalysts can shift prices before the match begins. Roster announcements, player injuries, or last-minute substitutions often trigger sharp repricing as traders reassess team strength. Recent tournament performance by either squad—wins, losses, or dominant displays—influences confidence in their odds. Coaching changes or strategic adjustments revealed in scrims or public statements may also move the market. Betting syndicates or professional traders entering the market with large positions can create momentum. Additionally, odds on related markets, such as total game duration or specific in-game milestones, sometimes signal where informed traders expect the match to go, creating spillover effects on the main outcome.
