On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will rise. Conversely, if sentiment shifts towards another outcome, the price of those shares will increase while the original shares decrease. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective forecast.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Valentyn vs. Kobets match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual event winner. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in training regimens, or even weather conditions impacting the match could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about athlete performance or strategic changes could also cause significant price fluctuations. Public opinion, as reflected in polls or expert analysis, might also play a role, though the market is ultimately driven by actual trading activity. Monitoring these signals can help you understand potential shifts in the perceived probability of each outcome.
