This group of markets predicts the winner of the 2026 LIV Golf New York Individual tournament. Markets exist for specific players winning the tournament, as well as markets for whether various players will lead after the third round.
This market will resolve according to the listed player who wins the 2026 New York Individual tournament. If a listed player is eliminated from contention for the New York Individual tournament based on the official rules of the tournament, the relevant market will immediately resolve to "No". If an unlisted player wins the New York Individual tournament this market will resolve to "Other". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by LIV Golf official tournament rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If no winner is announced by August 16, 2026 at 11:59PM ET this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the LIV Golf website (https://www.livgolf.com/).
Each market corresponds to an individual golfer, resolving to 'Yes' if that specific player is the sole leader at the end of Round 3 of the 2026 LIV Golf New York. If multiple players are tied for the lead, 'Yes' positions pay $1 divided by the number of tied leaders (rounded down), while 'No' positions receive the complement of that payout. The markets are independent, with each golfer’s outcome evaluated separately against the final leaderboard standings after Round 3.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can diverge because each platform attracts distinct trader bases and may update probabilities on different schedules. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. This often leads to variations in how quickly new information — like a player's injury status or practice round performance — is reflected in the odds. Additionally, liquidity differences affect price stability, so a large trade on one venue might shift its odds more dramatically than on the other.
Key signals that could shift this market include injury updates, weather delays, and performance in practice rounds. Any sudden change in a top contender's status — such as a strong qualifying performance or a major mistake — may cause rapid repricing. Additionally, betting patterns on platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi can amplify moves if large volumes enter one side, especially as the tournament approaches its final days.
