The market resolves Yes to whichever player wins set 1 of the Liudmila Samsonova vs Marie Bouzkova match at 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 32. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play will resolve accordingly; those that cannot will resolve to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders betting real money on outcomes they believe will occur. Prediction markets tend to incorporate information more dynamically and can shift rapidly as new data emerges. For major tennis events, comparing this market's odds to leading sportsbooks can reveal where smart money is positioning itself and highlight potential value discrepancies.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief about the likelihood of that outcome occurring. As traders place bids and offers, the market price adjusts in real time. You can enter limit or market orders to take a position, and your cost per share directly represents the implied probability the market assigns to that result.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the tennis match is completed and the result of the first set is verified. The outcome is determined by which player wins the opening set according to official match records and credible public reporting. Resolution occurs automatically once the event concludes and the data is confirmed, settling all positions based on the actual winner of Set 1.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Recent form and head-to-head records between Samsonova and Bouzkova may influence trader positioning as the match date approaches. Court surface, weather conditions, and injury reports can all trigger repricing. Betting activity from sharp traders often precedes major moves. Tournament seeding and draw position details may also prompt adjustments. As the match begins, early set momentum—break points, service holds, and tactical adjustments—will drive real-time price changes reflecting the evolving likelihood of each outcome.
