In the upcoming EFL Championship game between Lincoln City FC and Southampton FC, scheduled for September 5, 2026 at 7:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Lincoln City FC vs. Southampton FC match originally scheduled for September 5, 2026 at 7:30 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they are set by traders who can place bets on any specific score outcome, not just match winners or spreads. While sportsbooks may offer a limited set of score-based bets, prediction markets allow far more granular wagering. Traders’ expectations here can therefore reveal a more detailed view of likely scorelines, sometimes highlighting outcomes that sportsbooks treat as low-probability or place under “any other score” categories.
This market resolves around Sep 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact final score reported by authoritative sports news sources and official league records will determine which traders receive shares. Until that moment, any update that affects the likely score — such as injuries, weather conditions, or recent team performance — can shift market prices on Polymarket.
Injuries to key players, changes in team strategy, or weather conditions that affect play can all shift expectations for the final score and therefore move this market. Additionally, strong recent form by either team, mid-week matches affecting player fatigue, and any last-minute tactical decisions by coaches may cause traders on Polymarket to adjust their bets. High trading volume in the days leading up to Sep 5, 2026 often reflects new information becoming public, influencing odds across all score outcomes.
