Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Raquillet vs Giustino tennis match tracks real-time odds and price movements as traders buy and sell shares tied to the match outcome. The interface displays current implied probability, historical price charts, and trading activity to help you monitor how the market is pricing this event. This dashboard gives you a live window into how the prediction market community is assessing the likelihood of each possible result before the match concludes.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their books and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on outcomes they believe will occur. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper pricing because participants have direct financial exposure and strong motivation to identify mispriced outcomes. However, sportsbooks may have faster access to breaking news or injury reports. Comparing the two can reveal valuable insights into where informed opinion differs from bookmaker consensus.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell outcome shares, and the price adjusts based on supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The implied probability of each outcome is derived from the current price of its corresponding share. As traders place orders, the cost to buy additional shares increases or decreases, which naturally reflects shifting expectations about the match result. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures the market remains responsive to new information and trader conviction throughout the event window.

This market resolves around Jul 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will reflect the actual result of the match as documented by reliable sports sources. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges or sentiment shifts. Once the match concludes and the winner is officially confirmed, the market will settle and shares will be redeemed according to the final outcome.

Several factors could shift this market significantly before resolution. Recent form and head-to-head records between the players often drive substantial repricing as traders reassess competitive balance. Injury announcements or withdrawal news would immediately impact odds. Court surface conditions, weather forecasts, and tournament context can influence expectations about playing style matchups. Pre-match commentary from analysts or betting syndicates may trigger volume spikes and price adjustments. Betting patterns from sharp money or large position changes can also signal shifting conviction, prompting other traders to reassess their positions and move the market accordingly.
