Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant pools and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized trader beliefs in real time. This market's odds may lead or lag traditional sportsbook pricing depending on information flow, liquidity depth, and the sophistication of participants. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value, though both reflect genuine uncertainty about the match outcome.

On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism, where buying or selling shares moves the odds continuously based on supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The outcome is determined by which team wins the match according to official tournament records. Resolution occurs automatically after confirmation, and traders' positions settle based on the verified result. Early resolution is possible if the match is cancelled or abandoned under tournament rules, though standard completion is the expected path.

Player injuries, fitness updates, or withdrawal announcements can significantly shift odds before the match begins. Recent form, head-to-head records, and court-surface performance data often influence trader positioning. Weather conditions and scheduling changes may also impact market sentiment. As the event date approaches, increased trading volume typically reflects growing certainty or emerging doubts about either team's chances. Breaking news about player availability or tactical changes can trigger sharp repricing in the final hours before play starts.
