If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which naturally creates price variance. Polymarket's broader market scope may draw general sports traders, while Kalshi's set-specific contracts appeal to tennis specialists seeking granular exposure. Additionally, the two platforms settle through different verification processes and operate under distinct regulatory frameworks. These structural differences mean identical match outcomes can trade at different implied probabilities across venues, creating arbitrage opportunities for sophisticated traders monitoring both books.
