Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of people believe one team is more likely to win the second half, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional forecasts.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now.
