Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can take the opposite position in this market, driving the odds closer to their collective assessment. This dynamic can sometimes lead to prediction markets being more accurate than sportsbooks, particularly when there's strong public interest and informed trading activity.
