Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by trader opinions and the collective wisdom of the crowd. As such, the implied probabilities from Polymarket may differ from sportsbook odds, potentially offering value to informed bettors who identify discrepancies. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities, especially when public sentiment diverges from expert analysis.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment regarding the Levshyn vs. Seliuchenko match.
This market resolves around Sep 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Levshyn vs. Seliuchenko match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual event winner. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
