This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Learner Tien and Felix Auger-Aliassime at the 2026 ATP Halle Round of 16 on June 17. The winner of set 2 determines the market resolution.
The market resolves Yes if either Learner Tien or Felix Auger-Aliassime wins set 2 of their 2026 ATP Halle Round of 16 match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the beliefs of traders who have real money at stake. This market may offer different implied probabilities than traditional sportsbooks, particularly as new information emerges or as the match approaches, making it a useful reference point for comparing market-derived expectations.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective assessment of the likelihood that Tien or Auger-Aliassime will win Set 2. As traders place bids and offers, the market price adjusts in real time, allowing you to enter or exit positions at the prevailing rate and capturing the evolving consensus.
This market resolves around Jun 17, 2026, once the tennis match is completed and the Set 2 winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will be determined by which player wins the second set according to official match records. Until that point, the market remains open for trading, and prices may shift based on pre-match analysis, player form, and other relevant developments.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before it resolves. Player injury reports, recent performance trends, and head-to-head records may influence trader positioning. Court surface conditions, weather, and tournament context can also affect expectations. Additionally, if Set 1 unfolds in an unexpected way, traders may reassess their views on Set 2 dynamics, potentially moving prices. Real-time match developments and any roster or lineup changes would likely trigger significant market movement.
