The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.
All markets resolve based on the total number of goals scored during the regulation time of the LDU Quito vs Palmeiras professional CONMEBOL Libertadores soccer match scheduled for September 16, 2026. Regulation time includes the standard 90 minutes of play plus any stoppage time added by the referee, but explicitly excludes any extra time periods or penalty shootouts. Each market has a specific threshold: if the total goals exceed 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, or 5.5 respectively, that particular market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. All markets are independent, meaning the resolution of one does not affect the others. Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge for several reasons. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading rules, and liquidity, which can influence price discovery. Differences in the types of traders participating – for example, more sophisticated or casual bettors on each platform – can also contribute to price discrepancies. Furthermore, the volume traded on each platform impacts price sensitivity; higher volume generally leads to more efficient price discovery. These factors combine to create potentially different probabilities for the same outcome across the two venues.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the probabilities in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff for either LDU Quito or Palmeiras would likely impact the odds. Significant shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by pre-match analysis or social media discussion, could also cause movement. Finally, as the match date approaches, any updates on weather conditions or pitch quality could influence trader behavior and alter the price of various outcomes in this market.
