The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The markets resolve based on the total number of goals scored during the regulation time of the LDU Quito vs Mirassol professional CONMEBOL Libertadores soccer match originally scheduled for August 20, 2026. Regulation time includes the standard 90 minutes plus any stoppage time added by the referee, but explicitly excludes any extra time periods or penalty shootouts. For each market, a 'Yes' outcome occurs if the cumulative goals scored by both teams surpass the specified threshold (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, or 5.5 goals). The resolution solely considers goals scored within the defined timeframe, and Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league or ownership of associated trademarks and branding.
Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect the aggregated beliefs of informed traders rather than set benchmarks. In this market, prices can be more nuanced, especially for less common outcomes. For instance, traders might assign higher probability to specific scores that sportsbooks don’t list, creating opportunities for arbitrage or insight. The gap between the two can also widen if new information emerges, such as player injuries or weather changes, which traders react to faster than sportsbook adjusters.
Injuries to key players, weather conditions, and tactical changes can all shift this market as the match approaches. News about starting lineups or coaching strategies might cause traders to reassess likely scores. Additionally, early goal momentum during the match could dramatically alter probability assessments, especially if one team scores quickly. Keep an eye on pre-game announcements and live updates, as they often drive rapid shifts in trader sentiment and pricing.
