Extra time and penalty shootouts are excluded from consideration. If the match ends in a draw after regulation and stoppage time, the Tie market resolves to Yes. Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and operate under different constraints. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets reflect pure crowd consensus—what traders actually believe will happen. On platforms like Kalshi, odds can shift rapidly as new information surfaces, sometimes moving ahead of traditional sportsbooks. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where conventional oddsmakers may be slow to adjust. However, prediction markets and sportsbooks use different pricing mechanics, so direct comparison requires understanding each venue's unique structure and liquidity.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the most recent trade or the spread between the highest buy order and lowest sell order at any moment. As more traders participate, the price converges toward an equilibrium that balances supply and demand. Kalshi's transparent pricing model means you can see the full depth of interest at different price levels, allowing you to execute trades with confidence and understand exactly what the market is pricing in at any given time.
This market resolves around Jun 21, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official final score and result recognized by the relevant sports authority. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information and developments influence their expectations. Resolution is straightforward: whichever team wins the match determines which outcome shares pay out. After the event is complete and the result is publicly confirmed, the market will settle and traders' positions will be finalized.
Several factors can shift this market significantly before resolution. Team news—such as injuries to key players, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—often triggers sharp price moves as traders reassess win probability. Recent form and head-to-head history may influence sentiment, especially if one side has a strong record against the other. Weather conditions, home-field advantage, and travel fatigue can also matter in soccer. Betting syndicates and sharp money entering the market can move prices quickly if they identify perceived mispricing. As the match approaches, any late-breaking developments or shifts in public perception will be reflected in real-time price adjustments on the platform.
