Polymarket

In the upcoming match between Las Vegas Lights and New Mexico United, scheduled for September 5, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Las Vegas Lights" if Las Vegas Lights are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "New Mexico United" if New Mexico United are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Kalshi

The event determines whether Miami, Las Vegas, or neither team scores the seventh point first in the Pro Football game scheduled for September 13, 2026. Each market resolves based on the first team to reach seven points during the full game, including any overtime periods. If neither team achieves this milestone, the 'Neither Team' market resolves as the winner. Postponements are accounted for: if the game starts within 48 hours of its original time, betting continues; otherwise, markets resolve at a fair price. All outcomes are judged using official game results, with Kalshi explicitly stating no official affiliation with the governing league.

Prediction market odds, like those displayed for this market, often reflect a different kind of information than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while prediction markets are driven by individuals betting their own capital based on their beliefs. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, particularly when there’s significant volume – currently $1,173 – as they aggregate diverse perspectives. However, sportsbook odds are readily accessible and often influence initial trading activity in prediction markets, creating a dynamic relationship between the two.
