Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbook odds in response to new information or breaking news related to the teams and players involved in the WNBA championship.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a specific outcome, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the aggregated beliefs of all participants regarding the eventual winner of the WNBA championship between the Aces and Mercury.

This market resolves around Sep 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the WNBA championship series between the Las Vegas Aces and the Phoenix Mercury.
