Differences in user bases and trading behavior between Polymarket and Kalshi naturally lead to price variations for this market. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform’s liquidity pool, participant demographics, and recent news flow can skew probabilities independently. For example, if one venue has heavier volume from soccer specialists, its odds may align more closely with league-specific insights, while the other could reflect broader, less specialized sentiment.
Injuries to key attacking players, weather delays, or tactical shifts announced by coaches can all shift this market. Strong recent form from either side’s forwards, as well as any last-minute lineup changes revealed before kickoff, often trigger rapid odds adjustments. Traders will also watch for early-game momentum swings, as a fast start can dramatically reshape expectations about who strikes first.
