The market resolves based on the final set score of the Kyrian Jacquet vs Vilius Gaubas match at 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation before play begins, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, outcomes that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; outcomes that cannot be unconditionally settled resolve to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake on outcomes. This market aggregates those trader positions into implied probabilities that can serve as an alternative signal to traditional betting lines, though neither source is inherently more accurate—each offers a distinct lens on how informed participants assess the event.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for each exact-score outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of any given score reflects the balance between buy and sell pressure at that moment. As new information emerges or trader conviction shifts, the implied probability of each outcome adjusts dynamically. Liquidity and trading volume influence how tightly prices cluster around fair value, so outcomes with deeper order books typically exhibit more stable pricing.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the event concludes and the final score is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact final score at the end of regulation or the applicable competition format. Traders holding shares in the correct exact-score outcome receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on official confirmation of the result.
Market prices for exact-score outcomes typically shift in response to injury announcements, roster changes, recent performance trends, and public statements from athletes or coaches. Betting market activity at major sportsbooks can also influence trader sentiment here. As the event date approaches, any breaking news about participant fitness or competitive conditions may trigger repricing. Additionally, if comparable recent matchups between these competitors become available, traders may adjust their score expectations based on those historical patterns and current form.
