This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Brazil and Malawi scheduled for 2026-06-17 in Kwibuka T20 Tournament, Women. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Brazil will be considered correct if Brazil is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Malawi will be considered correct if Malawi is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader supply and demand. Prediction markets typically reflect longer-term consensus and can be more efficient at pricing uncertain events because traders have direct financial incentive to forecast accurately. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether professional bettors and retail traders see the toss outcome differently.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible toss outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the ratio of capital allocated to it; as more traders buy one side, that outcome's price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls. All pricing is transparent and updated continuously during trading hours, allowing participants to enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes.
This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, once the Kwibuka T20 women's match between Brazil and Malawi is played and the toss result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the coin flip at the start of the match. Resolution is typically confirmed within hours of the event conclusion, after which traders receive payouts based on the correct outcome and their position size.
Several factors may shift odds in this market before resolution. Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or roster announcements—can alter perceived match dynamics and toss strategy. Weather forecasts and pitch conditions may influence captain decisions on whether to bat or field first, indirectly affecting toss sentiment. Media commentary, expert predictions, and social media discussion can sway retail trader positioning. Additionally, any official tournament updates or scheduling changes could trigger repricing as traders reassess the event's timing and context.
