On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because each platform hosts its own user base and liquidity conditions. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, differing trading volumes — $185,540 across all venues versus $185,540 in the last day — help explain price swings. Additionally, each platform’s unique set of participants may interpret new data differently, such as practice performances or pitch reports, leading to distinct probability assessments for this market.
