Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines to balance their risk, while this market relies on individuals wagering their own capital. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment strongly deviates from the sportsbook's initial assessment. It’s common to find that prediction markets incorporate information and perspectives not immediately reflected in traditional betting lines, offering a potentially more accurate view of the event’s probability.
