Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of crowd predictions. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies and information sources, and neither is guaranteed to be correct.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Kryvorotko vs. Plakushchyi match. The price of each share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a growing belief in its likelihood. Conversely, selling pressure decreases the price. This dynamic process ensures the market price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants.

This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Kryvorotko vs. Plakushchyi match, as reported by the governing sports authority. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand how this market will settle.
