Prediction market odds on this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to the decentralized nature of trading. While sportsbooks may set their lines based on proprietary models and risk management, prediction markets let participants bet directly on their beliefs, which can lead to sharper or more volatile pricing. Traders watch for gaps between the two, as shifts in this market can signal changing public or insider sentiment before it appears in sportsbook updates.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders set the odds through buying and selling shares that represent each possible outcome.
