Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own modeling and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. It’s common to see this market adjust more quickly to new information than sportsbook lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Kovalchuk vs. Berezynskyi match. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is determined by supply and demand; if more people believe Kovalchuk Nazarii will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of its participants.
This market resolves around Oct 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
