Prediction market odds on Polymarket often differ from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than bookmaker pricing models. Sportsbooks factor in margin and risk management, while prediction markets are driven by supply and demand among participants. For the Kosice doubles match, Polymarket odds may move faster in response to player news, recent form, or injury updates than fixed sportsbook lines. Comparing the two can reveal whether the market views the matchup differently than professional oddsmakers, though both aim to price the true probability of Fajta/Makk or Pokorny/Poljak prevailing.
On Polymarket, the Kosice (Doubles): Fajta/Makk vs Pokorny/Poljak match is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability quotes for each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing their belief in either Fajta/Makk or Pokorny/Poljak winning, and the price of each share reflects its implied probability. As more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcome falls. The spread between bid and ask prices reflects liquidity depth.
