On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a golfer will finish in the top 20. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the field. Higher demand for shares in a particular golfer drives up the price, indicating increased confidence in their chances, while selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date expectations.
This market resolves around Sep 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final leaderboard for the Simmons Bank Open is verified against credible public reporting. The market will determine which golfers ultimately finished within the top 20. The resolution will be based on the official tournament results published by the Korn Ferry Tour. Any ties for the 20th position will be included in the outcome, meaning more than 20 golfers may be considered 'in the top 20' for the purposes of this market.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding golfer injuries, changes in form during practice rounds, or even weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected strong or weak performances in the early rounds of the tournament will likely cause substantial price movements. Furthermore, any significant media coverage or expert analysis highlighting a particular golfer’s chances could also drive trading activity and alter the odds. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how this market evolves leading up to Sep 14, 2026.
