On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each golfer’s probability of leading after the first round. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that golfer being the first-round leader. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the field. The market’s efficiency is driven by the incentive for traders to capitalize on perceived mispricings.
This market resolves around Sep 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official leaderboard published by the Korn Ferry Tour following the completion of the first round of the Simmons Bank Open. The golfer at the top of the leaderboard at that time will be declared the winner of this market, and shares will settle accordingly. Any ties will be resolved according to the tournament’s official tie-breaking procedures.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before the first round concludes. Late withdrawals due to injury or illness, changes in weather forecasts impacting course conditions, and any news regarding a golfer’s recent form or preparation could all cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected performance during practice rounds or early tee times on the first day of the tournament will also be closely watched by traders, potentially leading to substantial price movements as the field narrows and confidence in certain players increases or decreases.
