In the upcoming FIFA International Friendlies game between Korea Republic and Ecuador, scheduled for September 24, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Korea Republic vs. Ecuador match originally scheduled for September 24, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market incorporates the collective predictions of many individuals. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and prediction markets have different cost structures and cater to different types of bettors, which can contribute to these differences.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s implied probability of that score occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the changing sentiment of the participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand – if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective prediction.
This market resolves around Sep 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official score of the Korea Republic vs. Ecuador match will be used to determine the winning outcome. Any potential delays in official score reporting may impact the resolution timeline, but the platform will strive for a swift and accurate determination. The outcome will be based on the official result as declared by the governing sporting body for the match.
Several signals could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in coaching strategies for either the Korea Republic or Ecuador could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions at the match location could also play a role. Furthermore, public sentiment and analysis from sports commentators and analysts could impact trader behavior, leading to price fluctuations. Major shifts in betting volume, even without specific news, can also indicate changing market expectations.
