Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis not immediately captured by traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team or player statistics and expert opinions, this market allows for dynamic adjustments as new information emerges and more traders participate. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions on factors like player form, injury reports, or even subtle changes in playing conditions. It’s common to see prediction markets and sportsbooks converge closer to the event's start time.
