Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket, potentially driving the odds closer to what they perceive as the true probability. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds over time.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes in playing conditions could significantly shift expectations. For example, a report of an injury to Ostapenko or Preston would likely impact the odds. Also, updates on head-to-head records, recent match results, or even weather forecasts could all play a role. Public sentiment and analysis from tennis experts could also drive trading volume and price movements, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
