Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own modeling and to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell based on their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sets, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of each market. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate new information more rapidly than traditional sportsbooks, leading to shifts in probabilities as the event approaches.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic price discovery process allows the market to aggregate information and provide a real-time assessment of the event's likelihood.

This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Konkulovskyi vs. Slozka match, as reported by recognized sports authorities.
