Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, being driven by the collective wisdom of traders, can sometimes provide more accurate probabilities, especially as new information emerges. However, sportsbook odds reflect the views of professional oddsmakers and may be influenced by factors not fully captured by the prediction market. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions on player form, potential injuries, or other relevant variables.
