Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise, as traders attempt to profit from the mispricing. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither is guaranteed to be correct.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective expectation. The total volume traded influences the depth and liquidity of the market, making it easier to enter and exit positions.

This market resolves around Sep 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Dmytro vs. Peretiatko match, as reported by a trusted source for sports results. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding the players’ form, potential injuries, or changes in coaching strategy could shift expectations. Unexpected announcements related to the match schedule or venue could also cause movement.
