Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective forecast of informed traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. If a large number of people believe a sportsbook is mispricing the fight, they can express that view through this market, potentially driving the odds in a different direction than those offered by sportsbooks.
