If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled game concludes within two days. Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than traditional sportsbooks, depending on whether informed traders see value the books have missed. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential analytical edges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and offers for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the marginal trade—the last executed transaction—and moves as new orders arrive. Traders can enter limit orders to buy or sell at their chosen price, or execute market orders for immediate fills. The spread between bid and ask widens or tightens based on liquidity and trading activity, directly influencing how easily you can enter or exit a position.
This market resolves around Jun 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on the final result of the game—which team wins the matchup. Once the event concludes and the winner is established through official sources, the market will settle accordingly, paying out shares of the winning outcome at full value and expiring shares of the losing outcome at zero.
Key catalysts include injury announcements, roster changes, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical matchups. Shifts in public betting patterns, analyst commentary, and media coverage can also influence trader sentiment. Weather conditions, home-field advantage factors, and any late-breaking news about player availability or team form may trigger sharp repricing. As the game date approaches, this market typically becomes more sensitive to real-time updates, so monitoring team news and lineup confirmations is essential for timing your trades.
