Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets allow traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering different implied probabilities than those available elsewhere. It's common to see prediction markets aggregate information and expert opinions more efficiently, leading to odds that diverge from initial sportsbook offerings, especially as new information emerges.
