Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Differences can arise due to varying information access, biases, or simply differing interpretations of the teams’ strengths and weaknesses. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or breaking news impacts the perceived probabilities of each outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; increased buying pressure raises prices, while increased selling pressure lowers them, ultimately determining the perceived probability of each outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the KHL game between Sibir Novosibirsk and Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, as reported by the KHL’s official website or a similarly authoritative source. The market will determine which outcome – a Sibir win, an Avtomobilist win, or a draw – occurred during the scheduled game, and shares will be settled accordingly based on the final score.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching staff, or team performance in preceding games could significantly impact perceived probabilities. Unexpected announcements about team strategies or potential disruptions to the game schedule could also cause movement. Furthermore, large volume trades from informed participants or shifts in broader hockey sentiment could also drive price changes, reflecting evolving expectations about the game’s likely outcome.
