Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where sharp bettors disagree with bookmaker pricing. Many traders monitor both venues to spot arbitrage opportunities or validate their thesis before committing capital.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the collective belief of all participants at any given moment—higher prices indicate stronger confidence in that outcome, while lower prices suggest skepticism. As new information emerges or traders adjust their positions, the price adjusts dynamically, allowing continuous discovery of fair value for the second-half result.
This market resolves around Jul 21, 2026, once the match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score recorded for the second half only, independent of the first-half scoreline. Resolution happens automatically once the event is confirmed, and traders' positions settle based on whether their prediction matched the verified result.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts announced before kickoff. Early match momentum—goals scored, red cards, or tactical adjustments during the first half—often reshapes expectations for the second-half outcome. Weather conditions, crowd dynamics, and in-game developments like substitutions can all influence trader sentiment and shift prices. Additionally, sharp money entering the market or sudden volume spikes may signal new information or conviction, prompting repricing across this market.
