Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are priced by traders who buy and sell shares based on their own beliefs about the outcome. Prediction markets tend to aggregate dispersed information efficiently, sometimes offering sharper or more dynamic pricing than traditional sportsbooks, especially as new developments unfold. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value, though both reflect genuine uncertainty about the final result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and order-book mechanism where traders directly buy and sell shares corresponding to each exact score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief of all active traders; as demand for a particular scoreline increases, its price rises, and vice versa. Traders profit by correctly predicting the final result and can exit their position at any time before the market closes. The continuous price discovery process ensures that odds adjust in real time based on new information and shifting sentiment.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the match concludes and the final score is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the verified result of the game, checked against credible public sources to ensure accuracy. Once the exact scoreline is established and confirmed, the market settles automatically, and traders holding the correct outcome receive their payout. Until that point, prices remain fluid and reflect ongoing uncertainty about which scoreline will occur.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before Jul 23, 2026. Team news—injuries, suspensions, or roster changes—often triggers sharp repricing, as does confirmation of starting lineups closer to kickoff. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions can all influence trader sentiment about likely scorelines. Major betting syndicates or sharp money entering the market may also move prices significantly. Additionally, any official announcements about venue, referee assignments, or other match logistics can prompt traders to reassess their probability estimates and adjust their positions accordingly.
