On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading mechanics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one platform might attract more European traders familiar with KF Egnatia, skewing its probabilities, while the other could reflect global sentiment. Additionally, each venue sets its own fee structure and order-book dynamics, which influence how quickly prices adjust to new information, leading to temporary mismatches in implied chances for the same outcome.
Injuries to key players, weather conditions affecting match play, or shifting team form close to the game could all move this market. Traders will also react to betting trends on traditional platforms, major news headlines about the teams, and any last-minute lineup announcements. Volume spikes or probability shifts on either Polymarket or Kalshi often signal new information being priced in, so watching for sudden changes in implied chances can reveal upcoming catalysts.
