Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Egnatia vs. Celje second half result market dashboard displays real-time odds and price movements for the second-half outcome of this football match. Traders can monitor current probabilities assigned to each possible result, historical price charts, and 24-hour trading volume of $45. The dashboard provides a live snapshot of market sentiment, allowing participants to track how odds shift as new information emerges before kickoff or during the first half. This market reflects collective predictions from traders worldwide on what will happen specifically in the second 45 minutes of play.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders competing to profit from accurate forecasts. Prediction markets typically incorporate real-time information more efficiently and can adjust faster to breaking news or shifting sentiment. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads and more liquidity in mainstream events. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue perceives greater or lesser probability than the other, offering traders potential value opportunities.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) model, where traders buy and sell outcome shares directly against a liquidity pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the ratio of shares in the pool, and as traders transact, prices adjust dynamically. This mechanism ensures continuous pricing without relying on a traditional order book. Traders profit by buying undervalued outcomes and selling overvalued ones, and their collective actions drive prices toward true probabilities. The system incentivizes participation and rapid information incorporation.

This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the match concludes and the second-half result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score recorded for the second half only, independent of the first-half result. Resolution occurs after the match is complete and the result is confirmed through standard sports reporting channels. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while incorrect predictions result in a loss. The exact timing of resolution may depend on when official confirmation becomes available.

Several factors can shift odds before and during the match. Team news—such as injury announcements, lineup changes, or tactical adjustments—often triggers significant price movement. First-half performance is a major catalyst; if one team dominates the opening 45 minutes, traders will adjust second-half probabilities accordingly. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and historical head-to-head records may also influence sentiment. Real-time events like red cards, goals, or momentum swings during the first half will drive rapid repricing. Market participants continuously reassess based on unfolding information, making this market dynamic and responsive to new developments.
